This film will be my first feature film after four short films. It is a film that reflects on the fear of motherhood through a poetic, nocturnal and dark fiction. From a feminist perspective, the film explores motherhood as a collective fear and questions this fear of becoming a mother as something that comes from a transhistorical, invisible and inherited female unconscious. This ghostly thread is embodied by two characters who belong to the same family line and are spiritually linked across time and space: Hedda, a woman in Berlin in the near future, and Berthe, her ancestor, in late 18th-century France.
