Maider Oleaga Casado

Bilbao, 1976. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a diploma in Film Direction from the Madrid Film School (ECAM). In 2015, she completed a Master's Degree in Feminist and Gender Studies at the University of the Basque Country.
She’s currently working on the project Agur/Henffych!, a creative relationship initiated through video letters exchanged with the Welsh visual artist Naomi Heath. The main theme or link between these letters is language, both Basque and Welsh.

After her time in Ikusmira Berriak, Maider moved to Berlin to shoot a documentary for EiTB, Iragan gunea Berlin, which was selected in the Zinemira Selection of the 64th San Sebastian Film Festival. IRA 26-2 has received financing from the Basque Government that supports creative documentaries production. The project is currently in a preproduction stage.
